CCI rejected the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Domestic Violence bill

Council of Islamic Ideology on Friday rejected the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Domestic Violence bill, citing reasons that it was in contradictions with the Shariah.
According to details, a press release by the Council of Islamic Ideology stated that it had rejected the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Domestic Violence bill. It was also stated that the reasons for rejecting the bill had been sent to the government. The press release also mentioned that the bill was rejected by the council on account of it being contradictory to the Shariah.
The government had sent the bill for acceptance to the Council of Islamic Ideology, which is a constitutional body that advises the legislature whether or not a law is repugnant or in contradiction with the laws of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.
