The boys clinched the top two positions and a girl annexed the second position of all science and general groups in the results of the annual examination of Secondary School Certificate (SSC)  2016, Multan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. Top three positions of General group were  annexed by the students of religious seminaries
According to the BISE result announced on Wednesday, a total of 1,00,162 candidates appeared in the exams out of which 73,350 passed while the total pass percentage was 73.23 per cent.
In science group, a total number of 76,782 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of which 59,520 could pass the exam making the pass percentage of 77.51.
In humanities group, a total number of 23,380 candidates appeared in the exam out of which 13,830 candidates passed the exam achieving the pass percentage of 69.85 .Total 54,763 boys appeared in the SSC examination of them 38,257 and pass percentage was 69.85. Total 45399 girls took part in the examination. Of them 35,093 passed the examination and pass percentage was far better than boys which was 77.29.Among the Regular candidates76,285 candidates appeared in the exam in science and other groups  out of which 60,311 could pass the exam while pass percentage was 79.06 The students who clinched the top positions are Saif-ur-rehman of Muslim Public High School, Mumtazabad(Multan)by securing 1085/1100 marks ,s ecured first position in science group while the second position was shared by Muhammad Huzaifa of Lodhran and Maryam Shaukat of Lodhran with 1,084 marks.
The third position was annexed by Muhammad Shehzad from village Lothar  with 1,080 marks.
Speaking on the occasion as a chief guest, Punjab Minister of Special Education Asif Saeed Manais congratulated the position holder students, their parents and educational institutions concerned.
The minister said that since the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz government took charge, it has brought many reforms in the BISE to facilitate the students and to check the unfair means.
The BISE Multan is one of the best boards of Pakistan according to many international surveys and one should feel privileged to appear through this board, said the minister.
He said that better board systems, better exam settings and better exam checking system lead to a better overall education system. “So, we should focus on quality of education in Punjab,” he said.The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sahiwal declared the detailed result of annual exam of the secondary school education while other education boards announced their position holders on Tuesday.
Girls bagged top three positions in the annual matriculation examination in the BISE Sahiwal.
Ayesha Maryum, Nishat Irshad, Sadiqa Javed of the District Public Girls School, Depalpur stood first, second and third by securing 1,083, 1,081, 1,079 marks, respectively. Mutahira Naveed, of the Educators Girls High School Sahiwal, shared second position with Nishat Irshad by securing the same (1,081) marks. Most of top positions holders in the exam are from private schools. The overall pass percentage in the board remained 73pc.
The result was announced by BISE chairman Dr Anwaar Ahmed while talking to the media in his office.
In the boys’ science group, Muhammad Mudassar of the District Public School for Boys, Okara bagged the first position with 1,072 marks, Muhammad Hanzala of Dawn High School, Chichawatni remained second with 1,071 marks while Safiullah of the District Public School for Boys, Okara got the third position with 1,067 marks.

Girls top in Sahiwal and Bahawalpur


Among boys’ arts group, Muhammad Musab, a private candidate, Muhammad Ijaz of Govt High School, Pakpattan and Mamoon Rashid, Govt Higher Secondary School, Qaboola, Pakpattan got first, second and third positions by securing 1,023, 978 and 950 marks, respectively.
In the girls’ arts group, Bisma Aslam of Govt Binaatul Islam High School, Sahiwal, Tania Abbas of Govt Girls High School, 1/10-L, Sahiwal and Mehreen Yasin, a private candidate, got first, second, third positions by securing 1,034, 1,024 and 1,016 marks, respectively.
A total of 60,186 candidates had appeared in the exam and 44,418 of them succeeded. Of them, 14,152 had appeared as private candidates.
Tahir Hussain Jafri, controller exams, said 82pc students passed in regular category in science group while the percentage was 76pc in arts group. In private category, 61pc students passed the exam in science group and 55pc in arts group.
BAHAWALPUR: District Bahawalnagar’s four girls clinched the top positions in the annual matric examination of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Bahawalpur.
The first, second and third positions were captured by Fauji Foundation Model Girls High School, Bahawalnagar’s Bismah Qureshi, Aifaf Latif and Soha Tariq and Irza Ali by securing 1,085,1,077 and 1,075 marks, respectively. Muhammad Awais of Educator’s Rohi Campus, Rahim Yar Khan shared the third position with Soha and Irza by securing 1,075 marks.
In boys’ arts group, Ghulam Dastgir of the Government High School Chak 28-G got first position while among the girls, Ayesha Aslam of Government MC Girls High School, Sadiqabad got the first position by obtaining 942 and 1,004 marks, respectively.
GUJRANWALA: The Intermediate and Secondary Education Board (BISE) announced the matriculation result.
Muhammad Faizan clinched first position with 1,079 marks, Rao Obaidur Rehman and Hafiza Amiza Ahsan gained 1,078 marks each and shared the second position and Mahrukh and Aswa Arshad shared the third position with 1,077 marks each.
In humanities, Muhammad Hamad secured 1,017 marks and remained first, Muhammad Salman got second position with 1,016 marks and Rafaqat Ali clinched third position with 1,013 marks.
According to official handout, 75.70 percent students passed the examination as 149,405 candidates out of 197,350 succeeded.
DERA GHAZI KHAN: The BISE announced first positions in annual exam of secondary school certificate.
Hasnatur Rehman of the Govt Boys School No.1 Dera Ghazi Khan obtained the overall first position by getting 1,086 marks. Muhammad Hassan of Asif Saleem Boys Higher Secondary School Alipur remained second with 1,084 marks while the third position was secured by Minhaj Fatima Khan of District Public Girls Higher Secondary School Layyah with 1,083 marks.
The complete result will be announced on Wednesday (today).
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) announced the Matric examination results yesterday.

A grand ceremony was organised at Alhamra in honour of position winner students.
Education minister Rana Khushnood was chief guest on the occasion.
The prizes, cash awards and merit certificates were distributed among the position holder students of Secondary School Certificate (Annual) Examination, 2016.
BISE Lahore Chairman Dr Muhammad Nasrullah Virk welcomed the honourable guests and announced the results of above said examination.
According to results, 214711 candidates appeared in the SSC (Annual) Examination, 2016 in which 153478 candidates declared successful thus the pass percentage remained 71.
48 percent.
As per details, 102780 out of 131161 candidates passed in science group, hence the pass percentage remained 78.
36% while the 50698 out of 83550 candidates remained successful in Humanities Group and the pass percentage was 60.

The education minister distributed the medals and merit certificates among the position holders.
Position Holders were awarded with Gold, Silver and Browns Medals along with Rs20,000, Rs15,000 and Rs10,000 respectively.
Overall topper Rana Omar Farhan, Roll No 203528, obtained 1087 marks.
He is a student of Divisional Public School and Inter College, Model Town, Lahore.
He was also awarded with a laptop.
Muhammad Shayan Waheed s/o Waheed Naz got over all second position by securing 1086 marks; and Syed Momin Ali s/o Syed Javaid Shoukat and Hussnain Mushtaq s/o Mushtaq Ahmed, both students of DPS Model Town, secured 1085 marks and stood overall third.
These students also got 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in Science Group among Boys.
In the category of Science Group (Girls), Semil Saleem d/o Muhammad Saleem, a student of Punjab Girls High School, Johar Town, Lahore, got 1st position by securing 1083 marks.
Rimsha Tahir d/o Ghulam Nabi Tahir, DPS Model Town, Lahore, secured 1082 marks and secured second position while Sajal Tariq d/o Muhammad Tariq, Jinnah Grammar Secondary School, Ghulam Hussain Park, Shad Bagh Lahore, secured 1079 marks and stood third.
In Arts Group (Girls), Iqra Yaseen d/o Muhammad Yaseen, student of Allama Iqbal High School for Girls, Kasur, got 1st position by securing 1067 marks; Ayesha Khalid d/o Khalid Mahmood, a student of Society Public Girls High School, Mughalpura, obtained 2nd position by securing 1055 marks; and Areej Waseem d/o Waseem Zafar, Farooqi Girls High School Karim Park, also got 2nd position with 1055 marks; and Uzma Waris d/o Waris Masih, private student, stood third by securing 1045 marks.
In Arts Group (Boys), Sabir Ali s/o Muhammad Tufail, student of Pakistan Model High School, Kasur, got 1st position by securing 1034 marks; Muhammad Shahzad s/o Muhammad Iqbal, Allied School, Al-Miraj Campus for Boys, Shadman, obtained 2nd position by securing 1006 marks; and Muhammad Usman s/o Khalid Zahoor, Allam Iqbal Public High School, Kasur; and Allah Ditta s/o Muhammad Aslam, Govt.
Public High School Nain Sukh, stood third by securing 994 marks.
