MULTAN, May23rd: Mobilink network restored in Multan after 24 hours which wasdestroyed due to fire in the main control room/server at 1230am (midnight) on Sunday/Monday and it remained offline in South region at least 24 hours. Mobilink sources said that our engineers tried their the best to restore the network in Multan as southern region cities are showing no activity (SMS/Calls/GPRS), at any level.Official sourcessaid that Mobilink’s MSC in Multan caught fire last night today , however, they refused to confirm the restoration of the network It merits mentioning here that Mobilink lost its NOC in Islamabad, just recently when fire erupted in the building on Sunday night. This would be second time that Mobilink’s office has caught fire, We are told that DSL services from Link Dot Net are down in North region as well. Lakhs of subscribers could not contact to other networks and no one could contact to them from all over the country.Businesses badly affected due to this incident. Mobilink Company failed to restore the network inspite of elapsing 24 hours. Thousands of people converted their SIMs to other networks to keep themselves connected with their clients, customers, relatives, friends and colleagues
