Two pilots died on Tuesday after a Pakistan Army training aircraft Mushaq crashed near Gujranwala, South Punjab News reported.
The pilots were identified as Major Azhar and Captain Ahmad, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.The jet fighter was on a routine training session when the tragic incident occurred that resulted in the immediate death of the pilots flying the jet.
Earlier in August 2015, as many as 12 army personnel were killed when their helicopter crashed near Mansehra.
In another similar incident in May 2015, the ambassadors of Norway and Philippines and six others were killed when an army helicopter crashed in Naltar area of Gilgit.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed grief over the death of two pilots killed in the plane crash.
