MULTAN,Feb 20th: At least ten people including five women and two children were killed of lightning saturday in Khushab, Mian Chunnu,Sahuka and Chishtian in South Punjab.At least seven people, including four women and two children of same family were killed Saturday when lightning struck their two-storey house near Purana Chowk area in Punjab’s Khushab district.. In three separate incidents,a woman and two men were killed and many cattle heads were also died in Mian Chunnu,Sahuka and Chishtian. Eight others were injured.DPO Khushab Faisal Gulzar told that all the seven member of a family were killed when lightning fell on a home .The family members killed in the incident have been identified as Mohammad Rauf, Razia, Kinza Khalida,Rafia, Farooq and Abdul Rauf. While Shzia bibi died in Mian Chunnu (Khanewal district) Saif-ullah Siyal in Sahuka (Vehari)and Muhammad Yar in Chishtian (Bahawalnagar). Hospital authorities have also confirmed the death of ten people due to lightning.
