MULTAN, Feb 27th: At least four passengers including a woman have been killed and 8 wounded in a head-on collision between a coach and an oil tanker near Shehr Sultan in Muzaffargarh district of Punjab province today (Saturday).DPO Muzaffargarh Awais Ahmed Malik said," This accident occurred due to reckless driving and driver of the oil-tanker also killed at the spot. He said the accident took place in Shahr Sultan town of Muzaffargarh.The injured have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Ali Pur and District Headquarters Hospital Muzaffargarh.They were identified as Hasso Sikhani his wife Jindan Mai, Shoaib son of Nawaz and Ali Murad .In a press statement, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives and sympathized with the bereaved families.Thousands of people are killed every year in accidents blamed to bad infrastructure, untrained drivers and little respect for traffic laws.
