Dera Ghazi Khan ,Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday has killed five militants in an encounter in Qasba Wadore. The law enforcers raided Qasba Wadore on a tip-off where they were engaged by as many as five terrorists in a gun battle. Security personnel reciprocated the fire and gunned down the insurgents. Police said that killed militants belonged to banned outfit, Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The security troops recovered two grenades and three pistols from insurgents’ possession. Bodies have been shifted to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital. Sources privy to the police station concerned said that terrorists had planned to strike on 12th Rabiul Awwal. On December 1, the CTD and police had conducted a joint raid near Wadore area which saw four terrorists killed while two high-profile militants managed to flee. Police had stated that the militants belonged to Al-Qaeda. Among the fleeing insurgents was Al-Qaeda s alleged commander Shoaib Cheema. While his accomplice was identified by name the Hanif. A case was registered in Sadar Police Station. The killed terrorists were identified as Mohammad Tariq, Nasir Ameen, Usman and Salman.
