MULTAN, Nov 2nd: People of Mastoi tribe including women and children on Monday staged a demonstration in front of Multan Press Club against police excessions and high handedness of a gang of kidnappers for ransom and appealed to the higher authorities to protect their lives and property. Police forced them to vacate our homes and land . The demo was led by Qabool Mastoi, Muhammad Sharif, Khan Muhammad and PhoolMuhammad.They chanted slogans against the criminals and their patrons and Jampur Police. They told mediamen that A gang of kidnapper comprising Arshad Bajwa, Allah Divaya, Amir Bakhsh, Yousaf Bulhoora and Soobah Dreshak had kidnapped QaboolMastoi in September 2015 to extort Rs.one million. Police neither registered a case against the kidnappers nor recover the kidnappee.They approached to Police officers but all in vain.SHO Police station Jampur demanded bribe of Rs.0.2 million for the recovery of kidnappee .Consequently they moved to Lahore High Court Multan Bench. The court got registered a case against the kidnappers and recovered him from the custody of kidnappers. Now the gangsters were threatening them for dire consequence and Police was harassing them and pressurising to withdraw the complaint.
