MULTAN,Nov 24th:An African lioness gave birth to four cubs in a BahadurPur a suburb of Multan. Named"Rani" she gave birth on November 24 at a private park of a local feudal lord Fazal Abbas Mahay in the outskirt of Multan She had already given birth to seventeen cub since 2011 when she was purchased from Zimbabwe Lionesses are known to give birth to two cubs at a time and occasionally four and but she gave birth five cubs in 2014.Now after giving birth to such a sizeable brood Rani is now receiving some extra nutrition to boost her health.Fazal Abbas Mahay told mediamen that "Rani" belonged to a family of hi-breed lionesses. Its sister "Pasha" broke a world record by giving birth to eight cubs in Harare.and Vets said: 'This has never happened in the history of lions, the world over. It is actually a world record.Fazal Abbas said: 'We are suckling them from the bottle each time they wake up from sleep. They still need a lot of milk and warmth and we are keeping an eye on them every minute.' The lioness is eating four kgs of meat and three litre milk daily.
