The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating its operations against the Pakistani army would continue with intensity.
The attack took place near Quetta, where a security vehicle was targeted, resulting in the deaths of army personnel, including Subedar Shehzad Ameen, Naib Subedar Abbas, Sepoy Khalil, Sepoy Zahid, Sepoy Khurram Saleem, and others.
According to AFP, a security vehicle collided with a roadside improvised explosive early in Margat Chowki, some 30 kilometres from Quetta.
“Baloch Liberation Army freedom fighters targeted a convoy of the occupying Pakistani Army in a remote-controlled IED attack in Margat, a suburb of Quetta. In this operation, an enemy vehicle was completely destroyed, and all 10 personnel on board were eliminated. Baloch Liberation Army accepts responsibility for this attack and makes it clear that our operations against the occupying enemy army will continue with intensity,” read a statement from the BLA, IANS reported.

The latest incident occurred a day after a roadside bomb struck a vehicle and killed three people in Kalat, Balochistan.
Before this, unidentified attackers shot and killed two security guards guarding a polio vaccination team on Wednesday. According to Assistant Commissioner Akram Harifal, masked gunmen attacked Levies personnel protecting a polio vaccination team in Teeri, Mastung district.
In March, BLA militants derailed the Jaffar Express, a nine-coach train carrying around 400 passengers, using explosives and hijacked it in a tunnel 160 km from Quetta.
Balochistan has seen a surge in violence in recent years, with separatist groups accusing the government of exploiting its natural resources.In 2019, the United States designated the BLA as a terrorist organisation.
