Within 48 hours, 139 more Pakistani citizens were deported from 10 countries, including Mauritania, Senegal, Malaysia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, out of which 15 were arrested in Karachi.
According to a report by Geo News citing immigration sources on Thursday, 34 Pakistanis were deported from Iraq for illegal entry and overstaying, with 2 of them handed over to Gujranwala police.
Immigration sources stated that 24 citizens were deported from Oman for illegal entry. One of them was on the IBMS blacklist and was transferred to AHTC, while out of the other two, one was handed over to the Larkana administration and the other to Lahore authorities.
According to immigration sources, 14 people were deported from Saudi Arabia on charges of being blacklisted, drug offenses, theft, lack of passports, and other allegations. Three individuals rescued from human trafficking were deported from Mauritania and two from Senegal, all of whom were taken into custody by AHTC.
Immigration sources stated that 31 Pakistanis, including 19 convicted of drug offenses, theft, overstaying, losing passports, and other charges, were deported from the UAE.
Additionally, 8 Pakistanis were sent back from Malaysia for illegal immigration, while 9 citizens were deported from Addis Ababa and Qatar for violating residency laws, fleeing, engaging in illegal work, or lodging complaints regarding wages.
On Jan 12,2025-A total of 107 Pakistani nationals were deported from 12 countries, including the United States, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia, while 55 passengers heading abroad were offloaded at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, immigration officers reported on Sunday.
According to reports, the frequent offloading of passengers has resulted in significant financial losses for travelers, as many lose their tickets in the process. It is estimated that the 50 offloaded passengers collectively suffered a loss of Rs 10 million.
Among those affected, four passengers traveling to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman were on the stop list. Additionally, one passenger headed to Canada and two to Nepal with visit visas were offloaded.
Two passengers with visit visas for Türkiye and two others traveling to Azerbaijan on work visas were also barred from boarding.
In another instance, ten Umrah pilgrims were denied travel to Saudi Arabia due to inadequate funds and the absence of advance hotel bookings. A passenger with a Swiss permanent residency card also faced travel restrictions.
Travelers on work visas for Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Algeria, along with visitors to Iraq, the UAE, Malaysia, Somalia, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Uganda, and Singapore, were stopped due to incomplete documentation.
Meanwhile, 107 Pakistanis were deported from countries including the United States, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia. From the UAE alone, 40 deportees arrived on multiple flights.
Immigration officials arrested 14 deportees upon their return to Pakistan on charges of drug trafficking and counterfeiting currency. Of these, 11 were detained in the UAE for alleged drug smuggling, while two were accused of circulating fake currency.
Reports revealed that many of the deported individuals had completed prison sentences abroad before being repatriated to Pakistan.
