Overall the polling remained peaceful as heavy police contingent was deployed for security as no untoward incident was reported from any district.The lawyers community cast votes in favour of candidates of their choice.
Results of few of the districts including Lahore, Multan and Rawapindi were available.
According to the updated results, leading lawyer Imran Khan Khakwani , backed by young lawyers Group, got elected as President of the District Bar Association Multan for 2024-25 here Saturday.
2800 lawyers out of registered members of 5060 exercised their right to vote during the day-long polling held amid massive police security at district courts Multan Turn out was 55.33 .
According to unofficial results announced late night, Muhammad Aamir Khan Khakwani secured 1663 votes while his main opponent Mumtaz Noor Tangra , a nominee of different strong groups including Mirza Aziz Akbar Baig, and Khan Group secured 1136 votes.
Syed Arif Hussain Khan a candidate of PLF elected as General Secretary by securing 1237 votes .his opponents Syed Naveed-ur-0rehman Hashmi got 903 and Kashif Iqbal 440 votes,
Iftikhar Ahmed Qureshi has been elected as Vice President by obtaining 999 votes his rival
sajid Mehmood Khan got 830 votes.Similarly Syed Azhar Shah elected as Library secretary, Raheela Mubashar Klasra elected as Finance secretary, Hafiza Hifza Rehman elected unopposed as Joint Secretary.
