US F-16 jet crashes in South Korea during training

America’s latest fighter plane F16 has crashed when it caught fire in the air. This is surprising in itself because it is considered as advanced as Rafale. Many countries of America-led NATO use this aircraft. The crash occurred in South Korea, where America has a military base. It is being told that the plane was on training when this accident happened.

According to American media reports, the F16 fighter plane was near the US military base in Gunsan, South Korea, when the crash occurred. The South Korean Defense Ministry has not made any comment in this regard at present. The US Defense Ministry has not shared any clear information in this regard. This is not the first time that America’s F16 aircraft has crashed. F16 aircraft have crashed from South Korea to Taiwan, in which some pilots also died.  10 F16 crashes in 2022, loss worth crores

According to the US Air Force Security Center, there have been 10 crashes of F16 jets, called Fighting Falcon, in 2022. There were two types of incidents in which the pilot also died along with the plane crash and either the pilot got badly injured. Class A and Class B accidents also result in millions of dollars in damage.

A US F-16 fighter jet crashed in South Korea on Monday while on a training flight however the pilot has ejected, Yonhap news agency reported citing a military source. Some technical fault developed during the flight  but pilot could not inform the control room and he preferred to save his life through ejectment.
