The Ahmed Ali (15)deceased individual’s body was sent for post-mortem examination. The force of the explosion was so intense that it resulted in the death of boy. The blast also shattered windows in nearby houses.
Owner of scrap shop Muhammad Arif Khokhar in the Tawakkal town area, was at his establishment with elder brother Muhammad Ali and scrappers when the incident occurred. Engaged in breaking a cell-shaped object, A young son of scrapper fell victim to the explosion, and four others including his daughter Mah Noor(14) elder brother Muhammad Ali and another person suffered injuries.
The police report indicates that the accident occurred in the morning around 11:45 am on Sunday. The severity of the blast propelled boy’s body several feet away, causing extensive damage. The individuals with serious injuries are currently receiving treatment at the Nishtar Hospital Multan .
It has been disclosed that the shop owner was breaking a cell-like object with a weight when the explosion transpired, resulting in the fragmentation of the weight as well.
Police said that the explosion took place while scrap shop owner was dealing with the cell-like object, prompting the deployment of a bomb disposal squad to investigate the incident further. The nature of the cell-like object is currently under investigation.
