Cardiology institute Multan set a record of excellent services- Jalaluddin Roomi


Chairman Board of Management of  Cardiology Institute Multan Khawaja. Jalaluddin Roomi Multan  has said that in spite of limited and in sufficient resources , we have entertained 57,153 new patients in outdoor, while 1,84,462 old or regular patients were examined during last ten months. Presiding over a 26th meeting of board of management here today Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that we are sincerely endeavouring to save the lives of humanity by providing quick treatment facilities to the people of South Punjab. He said that 1,36,412  patients were examined and diagnosed in the outdoor emergency. . He said that after the operationalization of the second phase of Cardiology Hospital, the performance of doctors will improve on the one hand. On the other hand, better medical facilities will be provided to patients. Chairman was informed in the meeting the medics of PSE institute of cardiology set a record by treating 5170 patients through angioplasty while 1555 patients underwent  heart surgery. As many as 10920 patients underwent angiography. Similarly, 19415 patients underwent echocardiography. Angiography of 2955 children while 1140 patients were diagnosed through ETT. Ultrasound of 36237 patients, Doppler test 2765, 3260 x 6375 city scan while 65943 patients were tested by hospital laboratory. 394,675 people were provided with free medicines from the hospital pharmacy. Chairman Board of Management Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi and Board member appreciated the performance of doctors and paramedical staff. Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that currently 61 beds are available in the emergency ward which are in sufficient. Because the number of patients coming to the emergency ward every day is very high, we would have to immediately add 30 to 35 beds in the emergency ward keeping in view the available space ,we will contact the philanthropists of the city to complete this task.

After the approval of the board of management in the meeting, the purchase of stent, pacemaker and oxygenator was approved for the patients. Chairman board of management Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi formed a committee consisting of Zafar Alvi and Ms. Mehnaz Farid and other members. which will oversee the entire procurement process. In the meeting, repair of anesthesia machine, extension of the contract period of law officer, improvement of sanitation system in the hospital and approval of its contract, six months employment of mechanical engineer. The duration of the contract was extended and two months were added to the contract of the security services provider. Apart from this, approval was given for the purchase of lab kits and X-ray films of the cardiology hospital.

Ms.Mahnaz Farid, Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, Dr. Tariq Abbas, Justice Retired Muhammad Zafar Yasin, Medical Superintendent Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Director Technical Farhan Khan and Syed Ibn Hussain participated online in the meeting. After the meeting, the Chairman Board of Management Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi visited Phase two of Cardiology institute and saw different departments besides reviewing the facilities and discussed with the patients in the hospital about these facilities.
