Kasur: Renowned Industrialist, former Punjab caretaker Minister for Industry, Ex-President of Multan & Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi has said that Akhuwat University and College Kasur Campus is providing higher education facilities to needy students in befitting manners.There is no such precedence in history of Pakistan.He was addressing an inaugural ceremony of the classrooms named after his parents in Akhuwat University and College Kasur campus.He said that there was a dire need of convincing and attracting news generation to wards the lattest education to compete the world and to meet forthcoming challenges.He eulogised the vision of Akhuwat's head Dr.Amjad Saqib who provide a golden opportunity to the students to attain higher education to get respectable jobs. He said that Akhuwat was a beacon of light for the down trodden people who have no resources to get higher education. He was of the view that these institutions would help in ending unemployment, deprivation,illiteracy in the remote areas like Kasur.
Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi added that the whole world is facing various challenges at this time. We should face these challenges by providing the opportunities of the best education to the young generation. After COVID-19, now the whole world is under a new vision "Work from "Home" is moving forward. We also need to educate the youth in this way. Our youth should stand to face the challenges of the world bravely and courageously.
On this occasion,Dr.Amjad Saqib, head of Akhuwat and Chairman of Benazir Income Support Program, said that several years ago I had a dream of Akhuwat University. To complete my dream, I travelled to every city of Pakistan.Akhuwat the world’s largest Islamic Microfinance program and fee-free college university open to talent from all across Pakistan.
To date, Akhuwat has disbursed over PKR 194 billion to around 5.7 million individuals across Pakistan and provides quality education free of cost to deserving students through its network of 304 schools and 3 colleges including Pakistan’s first fee free University – Akhuwat College University located in Kasur.He said that. Akhuwat University and College Kasur campus is a link to the fulfillment of this dream. Today is the day of this. It is very important in terms of credibility. That the promises I made to my donors. Based on this, I have started the education process by constructing classrooms. We are not charging any fees from the children studying in the university at the moment. We have taken this promise from them when they come into practical life. So they will refund us our fees. This way the candle will continue to lit. This way the underprivileged boys and girls can get higher education. Our current focus is on the IT sector. There is a lot of demand. This is my vision. That Pakistani youth are more intelligent than the youth of the world. If they are given good opportunities, they can go anywhere and create a revolution.
Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that today is important for me. In Akhuwat University and College Kasur campus, which is a treasure of the knowledge which is being distributed to the young generation in the classrooms with the names of my parents (Khwaja Muhammad Masood, Bibi Maher Fatima). which is taught in the most modern university in the world. I have asked Dr. Amjad Saqib to admit the students of South Punjab in his university and college so that the youth who have less resources can become themselves after getting modern education. can prove invincible in practical life.
