MULTAN: The police opened fire and killed two teenagers in Multan, one of whom was going to get married today, media reported on Sunday.
In a tragic incident, the Punjab police officials opened fire at three teenagers, killing two and leaving one injured when the teenagers were on their way back home after having dinner at a hotel.
“No criminal record was found for either of the teenagers,” the police stated.
The injured brother of the deceased, Irfan, said they were on their way to drop off their friend, Samiullah. The three of them were riding on a motorcycle when the police suddenly opened fire from behind and a single bullet went through his brother and Samiullah, causing the untimely death.
Irfan alleged the policemen claimed that someone else fired from behind and did not even try to help to take the injured teenagers to the hospital.
Irfan also mentioned that he could identify the three police officials responsible for the killing of his brother. The wounded brother also expressed that it was his brother’s wedding day and they deserve justice.
Multan Police shoot and killed two motorcyclists and injured a third after they disobeyed their orders to stop, Sources said.
The incident occurred in Shah Rukn-e-Alam Colony in Multan in the wee hours of Sunday night when they were returning home after taking Supper.
According to police, the youths were on their way after eating supper at a hotel. They were fired upon for not stopping on the instructions of the police.
The dead have been identified as Usman, a student of 9th grade, and Samiullah, 19.
The caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has taken notice of the incident and has demanded an inquiry report over the matter. He has said that justice will be served and culprits will be brought before the law.
The Nishtar Hospital received the deceased and injured.
Samiullah’s family has refused to bury the dead unless the “killer” policeman has been taken into custody.
On the father of the murdered Samiullah’s complaint, a case has been filed against the police personnel who allegedly fled the scene after the occurrence.Police failed to arrest them or finding their clue.
