More incentives for textile industry in future- Governor Punjab


Multan, Governor Punjab Engr: Balighur-rehman has said that federal government was seriously considering to announce more incentives and concessions to export oriented industry while it announced a power subsidy of Rs100 billion to five export-oriented sectors for providing electricity at Rs19.99 per unit (all inclusive) rather than nine cents. Delivering his speech at a dinner hosted by Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi ,noted industrialist, ex-president of Multan & Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and former Punjab caretaker Minister for the industry in his honour. Governor said that textile industry had played a key role in strengthening the country's economy by boosting up the exports and earned maximum foreign exchange. He said that Multan is my second home and my arrival in this ancient city is a source of happiness. People like Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi rendered tireless services for the solidarity, prosperity,and development of this country.

 At this time, it is necessary that everyone should work together for the development of the country. To restore life in the flood-affected areas, we have to move forward with the government and philanthropists. The weather will turn cold in a few days. Which will increase the problems of homeless people. In this way, we have to take immediate steps for the flood victims. Not only immediate aid, but this process continues till today. Especially in South Punjab, the work done by Khawaja Jalaluddin Rumi for the flood victims is an example for all of us to follow. I will pay tribute to him by saying that we all have to work fast for the rehabilitation of the flood victims of South Punjab. Governor Punjab further said that I have also been the Federal Minister of Education and my priority was always to provide friendly environment and facilities for modern education in educational institutions. Currently, there are 80 universities in the province, including 33 private institutions, and I have formed seven consortiums including all of them and have to work on seven projects by doing advanced research, including women's development, character building and environment. Working is the first priority and in this regard I conducted a three-day workshop in Murree. And I am happy that not a single vice-chancellor has objected or denied this work and I am very happy that we have PhDs in environment from America and you know the world at this time. The biggest issue is climate change for which we have to work together. Punjab Governor Engineer Balighur Rahman said in his address that my family has been working for the promotion of knowledge and literature in Bahawalpur since the creation of Pakistan. And now as the Governor of Punjab, my first and last priority is education and health in South Punjab. Along with this, an integrated strategy should be set up to solve the problems of other sectors. So that the problems of South Punjab can be solved. In his welcome addresss noted philanthropists and Industrialist    Khawaja Muhammad Jalaluddin Roomi said that I welcome the governor of Punjab to the city of spiritual saints of Multan, that Governor's family has deep connections with the people of Multan, that he is currently working as the representative of the federal government in Punjab. Therefore, I thank the government regarding the reduction of electricity rates for the textile industry and hope that in the future they will continue the negotiations to solve our other problems. Khawaja Jalaluddin Rumi added that at this time the ceremony There are eminent personalities from all walks of life who have dedicated themselves for the promotion of agriculture, industry, health, culture and education. Through consultation we can overcome problems.. On this occasion, I would like to pay tribute to him and say that as the governor of Punjab, he is doing his right to represent South Punjab in the true sense. At the moment, there is an economic crisis going on at the global level, which directly affects our economy. At this time, the need is to arrange such policies that will drive the economy of the country. Especially the crisis that the textile industry is facing at this time. It is in front of everyone. Unemployment. An increase is being seen. In this case, the responsibility of the federal government is to take such measures, which can be protected from the effects of the crisis. Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that the family of Punjab Governor Engineer Balighur Rahman has been working for the promotion of education and industry for the last several decades.Therefore, we hope that they will play their role in the development of farmers, industrialists and other sectors by setting the best policies in the light of their experiences.
