Unfairness,bised and impartiality of DMO in Multan by election




District Monitoring Officer for PP 217 Haider Riaz did not not take any action against PML-N candidate Salman Naeem Sheikh who was openly,fearlessly distributing motor cycles and cash among the voters in different union councils. but the DMO has ordered an inquiry against PTI candidate Zain Qureshi, son of former foreign minister and party Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi, for indulging in corrupt practices during by-election campaign in UC-44, Multan.which showed the partiality and unfairness of the Monitoring officer.

The inquiry is being conducted over a complaint received through social media. It says Zain Qureshi is offering a brand new motorcycle to ach voter who manages 10 votes in his favour.

The inquiry letter says such practices are considered corrupt practices and Article 218(3) of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan empowers the Election Commission to guard against corrupt practices. The inquiry has been marked to Sadar assistant commissioner and DRTA secretary, Multan.

However, Riaz stated that he had had been stopped at the airport.

Former prime minister Imran Khan in response to the allegations leveled by Imran Riaz shared a video of the imprisoned journalist commenting, “Imran Riaz was kept in a cage, where civilised countries would not even allow animals to be kept.

The former premier reiterated the journalist's position, suspecting that the incumbent government had colluded to poison the critic.
