MULTAN: The Commissioner Multan Division Dr.Irshad Ahmed said that zoning policy was being introduced to remove the illegal encroachments in the city . A Museum was being developed in the city to attract the tourists .Tender process for the construction of Museum has already been completed and work orders will soon be issued to the contractor. He was exchanging views with a delegation of the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) led by President Khawaja Muhammad Hussain which called on him. Commissioner apprised the delegation of upgradation of recreational parks around the shrines of Saints leaders and said that administration was trying its utmost to transfer the fruits of Prime Minister's relief package to the needy people . He told that he was personally visiting the fruit & vegetable Market to monitor the auctioning .The meeting discussed in details the traffic hazard, rise in encroachments in the city, inflation and price control committees, Corona epidemic SOPs and ongoing development projects in the city.
Talking to the delegation, Commissioner Multan Division Dr. Irshad Ahmed assured the delegation that the administration would provide all facilities for the promotion of business activities, as well as consult with the business community and the Chamber of Commerce regarding the development projects of the city especially new projects.
On this occasion, the President of the Chamber Khawaja Muhamnmad Hussain appreciated the steps taken by the district administration for keeping the city neat and clean and assured that the Chamber would continue its support in all possible ways. “The city is full of encroachments,” he said. A comprehensive policy should be adopted to solve the traffic problems.
