The Punjab Government under the able leadership of Sardar Usman Buzdar was endeavouring for the welfare and betterment of industrial workers, labourers and the best services were being provided to them in Social Security Hospitals where all facilities were available, said Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi while presiding over the 40th meeting of the board of Directors of Punjab Social Security Health Management Committee (PSSHMC)in Lahore. Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi took the charge as Chairman of the PSSHM committee and issued instructions to the staff to provide maximum health cover and other facilities to families of the working class too. The Chairman was briefed about the affairs of Social Security Hospital Muzaffargarh and Manga Mandi. The meeting reviewed the 8 points agenda and unanimously decided to amendments in articles of associations. The meeting also ratified the report of the audit committee. The meeting also approved a proposal to entrust the financial powers to the newly inducted member of the management committee of Social Security Hospitals. The meeting also reviewed the different clauses of agreements with Azra Naheed Medical College. Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi a noted industrialist and former President of the Health Management Committee of Nishtar Hospital and Health University said that there would be no complaint of ill-attitude of the staff and scarcity of medicines, facilities in social security institutions.It is an uphill task to maintain standard medical care and, in this regard, commendation must be given to administrative and clinical staff for the sterling work they have put in.He further said that the role of members of Board of Directors and the dedication of those who manage the hospitals is indeed praiseworthy. The meeting was joined by Provincial Secretary Labour Punjab Ahmed Javed Qazi, Commissioner Punjab Social Security Institution Ambreen Sajid, Additional Secretary Finance,Sidra Younas,Additional Secretary Industry, Ijaz Khalid,Umar Saeed (General Manager,Amer Fayyaz,Umair virk, Muhammad Anis Khawaja, Amer Sheikh and other officers.
