MULTAN, Dec 3rd: Commissioner Multan, Javed Akhtar Mehmood highly appreciated the services and contribution of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) in alleviating the miseries of deserving people and said that Multan Chamber is a role model for others. Exchanging views with a delegation of Multan chamber headed by its president Khawaja Salahuddin and consisting on Senior Vice President Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah, Vice President Shafi Anis'A Sheikh, Executive Body member Sheikh Faisal Saeed, Khawaja Muhammad Azhar, Sheikh Nadeem Ahmed, Ch. Altaf Shahid, Bakhsh Elahi, Aurangzeb Alamgir and Secretary-General Muhammad Shafiq. Commissioner said that MCCI has ever welcomed our request without any hesitation and extended its cooperation. It never disappointed us. Commissioner said that we had made our the best efforts to provide all possible facilities and relaxations for the promotion and betterment of businesses. He also hailed the cooperation of MCCI body in tree plantation in Multan. Javed Akhtar Mehmood informed the delegation about the tree-plantation on BCG chowk to Bahawalpur bye-pass chowk, Double Phatak to Nag-Shah and Southern bypass to Bahawalpur bypass. He asked the delegation to construct shelter homes in Multan. Upon this, president Khawaja Salahuddin assured that Multan Chamber would contribute for the construction of Shelter homes if the land is allocated for this noble purpose. He also assured that the business community agreed to look after and supervise the Water Purification plant in the city. Then Commissioner Multan offered to sign an MoU with the administration. At last Commissioner Multan accepted the invitation of President MCCI Khawaja Salahuddin to visit Multan chamber and assured to come to Multan chamber very soon.
