South Punjab’s all major chambers and trade bodies have announced to support the United Business Group (UBG) candidates in the upcoming elections of the apex chamber for 2020-21 being held on 30th December 2020 . This announcement was made at a dinner hosted by Mian Tanvir'A Sheikh former President of FPCCI and Vice President of UBG in the honour of nominees of UBG for FPCCI Election. Mian Tanvir said that UBG has given three seats to South Punjab i.e One Senior Vice President and two Vice Presidents
In a dinner in connection with election drive, more than 12 trade bodies and industrial sectors’ associations including Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA), All Pakistan Oil Mills Association( APOMA), All Pakistan Bedsheet & Upholstery Manufacturers Association (APBUMA), Chamber of Commerce & Industry Multan, Rahimyar Khan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Vehari, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh announced their full support for the UBG. The meeting was also attended by the representatives of Pakistan Business Association (PBA)Rawalpindi Chamber.
The representatives of all chambers announced unconditional support to the United Business Group (UBG) in the upcoming elections of the FPCCI. “We have the full support of all chambers for the UBG’s presidential candidate in the elections and also work for his success”, said the UBG chairman Iftikhar Malik. The participants of the meeting said that the UBG leader's SM Muneer and Iftikhar Ali Malik possess exceptional qualities and they have devoted their lives to promote the business community of Pakistan.
Khalid Tawwab a nominee for top slot of FPCCI said in his address that UBG would do its the best for the betterment os agriculture sector because Pakistan cannot survive nor achieve the target of strong and stable economy without enhancing the production of Cotton, Rice, Maise, Gram, pulses and fruits.
The Chairman Iftikhar Malik, addressing the meeting, said that it would sweep the annual election of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) which is to be held on December 30.
He said that the campaign for the election was in full swing and the maximum chambers and business associations from across the country have announced to support the UBG in the election.
He said the support of the maximum chambers in the country shows that they are not satisfied over the work of the FPCCI current president Iftikhar Malik said that UBG had an agenda of focusing specially on the small and women chambers in order to give respect to the small businessmen.He said that Mian Tanvir'A Sheikh and Mian Idress'A Sheikh are two pillars of UBG in Multan.People of South Punjab should utilise their abilities.
