Multan, Sept 23rd: Khawaja Salahuddin has been elected (unopposed) as President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry(MCCI)while Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah and Mian Shafi Anis have been elected (Unopposed) as Senior Vice President and Vice President for the year 2020-21.Election commission consist of Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf, Mirza Ali Ahmed and Mian Ata Shafi Tanvir announced the election result and said that only one candidate submitted his candidature against each seat.No other candidate turned up till the last moment. Mrs, Rabia Shehzad was elected against a special seat for a woman. Khawaja Yousaf, however, clarified that official announcement of their victory would be made in the General body meeting on September 30.He said that 12 members of the executive committee have already been elected. Later, former Presidents of MCCI Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi,Farid Mughis Sheikh, Malik Asrar Awan, Khawaja Muhammad Usman, Muhammad Khan Saddozai, Mian Anis A Sheikh, Ex-President of FPCCI Mian Tanvir"A Sheikh,Col Khalid Mirza, Azhar Baloch, Sheikh Faisal Saeed, Sheikh Muhammad Amjad, Khawaja Badar Munir, Bakhtawar Tanvir Sheikh, Khawaja Muhammad Ilyas, Khawaja Muhammad Hussain, Sheikh Faheem Sattar , Mian Abdul Sattar,Abdul Rehman Qureshi Naveed Iqbal congratulated the new body and paid rich tributes to sitting body which had performed tremendously in an odd situation during pandemic COVID-19. Later Mian Fazal Elahi Sheikh(President) Mian Rashid Iqbal (Senior Vice President)and Mian Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh paid a vote of thanks to the member of the chamber, Media, staff and other people for their continuous cooperation which caused their success in resolving all problems.
