MULTAN, Sept 24th: Khawaja Muhammad Younas of Mehmood Group of Industries has been elected unopposed as Chairman of All Pakistan Bedsheet & Upholstery Manufacturers Association (APBUMA) while Bilal Jamil and Syed Muhammad Fazil Shah have been elected as Senior Vice Chairman and Vice-Chairman respectively. However, the official result will be declared at the annual General Body meeting on September 30 in Multan. Khawaja Muhammad Younas said on the occasion," I am thankful to the member of the association and business community for reposing their confidence on me and electing me as Chairman of APBUMA. It is a great honor as well as a big responsibility. I am thankful to Allah, the Almighty, for giving me this great honour.I acknowledge the good efforts of Syed Muhammad Ahsan Shah and his team for the betterment of the association and contribution to highlight the problems of the business community at all forums for solving them. I would take forward their good works. He assured that he would make the best efforts for resolving key issues facing trade and industry. For this purpose, I would try to develop close liaison with all stakeholder organizations to facilitate the growth of trade and Industry. He further said that We must understand that the dynamics of the business are changing fast. I would request APBUMA members and other stakeholders to keep sending us proposals and suggestions for improving our services and help tackle issues of the business community. Your recommendations and support would enable us to work more effectively in making the association a stronger platform for effectively raising the voice of the businessmen at relevant forums for achieving desired outcomes.Syed Muhammad Ahsan Shah congratulated the new chairman of APBUMA and said that he assumed this position with a strong commitment to serve the business community and make the best efforts for resolving key issues facing trade and industry.
