MULTAN, Sept 21st: Ginners group led by Haji Muhammad Akram swept the poll of Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association(PCGA) for 2020-21. All the fifteen candidates of the ginners group were turned up successful while the opponent "Progressive Group" could not attain even a single seat of the Executive Committee. Ginners group maintained its popularity as it annexed the success for the twelfth time. Those who were declared successful are Ghulam Mustafa 470 votes, Khalid Rafiq 459, Mahesh Kumar 445, Faisal Naseer Qureshi, Muhammad Haroon 442 each,Dr. Jassu Mal 440, Malik Tufail 439, Imran Khan and Muhammad Maqbool 438 each, Ramesh Babu 425,Raveen Mal 421, Muhammad Shahbaz 419, Ghulam Qadar 403 and Umair Shabbir 393 votes. According to the election commission,771 out of total registered voter of 789 exercised their right to vote. Former Chairman of PCGA Haji Muhammad Akram, Shehzad Ali Khan, and Masud Majid congratulated the winners and said that unity. sincerity and honesty have won the race. It is learned that Dr.Jassu Mal leemani might be the next Chairman of PCGA.
