Secret to happiness is to serve/help the others- Jalal uddin Roomi

MULTAN,August 26th: Noted Industrialist and philanthropist Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi on wednesday visited a deaf and dumb centre in Shujabad alongwith Deputy Commissioner Multan Abdul Amer Khattak and distributed ration and cash among the 150 deaf and dumb people in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Shujabad Muhammad Zubair, President of welfare Association of deaf Ghulam Mustafa, General Secretary Abdul Aziz and said that secret to happiness is to serve/help the others. Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi announced to establish a fund of Rs.2.5 million for the poor people of Shujabad sub division. Every poor and needy person is entitled to get Rs.50,000 as "Qarz-e-Hasna". A committee headed by Assistant commissioner will be formed to select the deserving people.He said that philanthropists and well-to-do persons of Shujabad should come forward for the help of needy people and they should strengthen this fund by contributing maximum amount.
Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that there is dire need ofdoing work in welfare sector.He greeted the deaf and dumb people who prefer to do labour on begging and said that hard-working people great.They are asset of the nation. He said," I am thankful to Deputy Commissioner Amer Khattak who provided me opportunities to serve the humanity.He said that my family had started a journey of welfare services and it would continue forever.
Deputy Commissioner Multan Amer Khattak said that Pandemic Coronavirus had affected the economy of Pakistan like rest of the world. Lockdown had badly hit the daily wage earners of our country.To compensate this section of society, Government had launch "Ehsas Cash" programme.Under which 3,16,972 deserving people were compensated and a huge amount of Rs.3,86,60,00,000 was distributed among them. He said that handicapped, disable andf special persons had also suffered a lot in lockdown.but Government was fully aware of miseries of its country fellow.He paid tributes to Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi for serving the community.
