Multan, July 5th: President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) Mian Fazal Elahi has hailed the decision of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) to extend the Rozgar Scheme for another three months to provide economic support to businesses and households,describing it a good and timely act.In a press statement issued here today MCCI chief said that the central bank has also increased the risk coverage for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) under the strategy in collaboration with the government of Pakistan.“This scheme would surely provide concessional loans to businesses for wages and salaries’ expenses provided that they commit not to lay off their employees for the period of the loan,” he hoped.He said that business community was demanding for extension of the validity of this scheme by another three months till the end of September 2020.”so that maximum number people could avail this facility.
