Multan, Renowned industrialist , former Punjab caretaker Minister for Industries and Ex-President of Chamber of Commerce & Industry Multan- Dera Ghazi Khan Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi has imported coronavirus safety kits from China to minimize the impact of coronavirus in Pakistan.These safety kits would be distributed among the front line Doctors, Paramedics and other staff and those who are serving in Quarantine. In a meeting with Vice Chancellor of Nishtar Medical University Prof.Dr. Mustafa Kamal Pasha, he assured that every thing would be provided to save the lives of people of South Punjab. Roomi said that Mehmood Group of Industries are aware of the situation and we are doing whatever we can to arrange more safety kits and other necessary items .Roomi assured that he would import medicines, vaccines and other safety items according to their requirement.He said that Iam available round the clock at your call.He provided eight cartons of RNA testing kits to the Vice Chancellor of Nishtar Medical University and said NHM would be able to serve the South Punjab’s need for diagnostic purposes in infectious outbreaks and epidemic situations, carries out coronavirus test with the help of kits obtained from abroad.“PCR (polymerase chain reaction) is the best technique to diagnose coronavirus, an RNA virus, and primers are required for PCR testing,he added.“We believe that in-house capacity building in terms of diagnosis will help change the face of the pandemic,” he said. Jalaluddin Roomi distributed 500 hampers of ration among the Policemen, employees of civil defence and District Government serving at Quarantine.Similarly,Ration was also distributed among the daily wage earners of Multan and Khanewal besides serving meal at different points in Multan city. Roomi said that Still, we are optimistic that we can overcome this pandemic by fulfilling our personal responsibilities and supporting our heroes, who are serving us in this hard time.Still, in this fight against Covid-19, some front-liners are serving us while risking their lives, in the course of their duties.
