Nine killed after multi-storey building collapses in Muzaffargarh

At least nine people including  three women and four children  were killed and five others injured on Tuesday after a multi-storey building collapsed in Muzaffargarh city of Pakistan's eastern Punjab province, local media reported.
According to the reports, the three-storey residential building collapsed in main Bazar near Qinwan Chowk area of Muzaffargarh city.when its owner Sheikh Nadeem tried to get remove one of thepillar of the building . This building was reportedly being built without the approval of architect.
Rescue teams rushed to the site and shifted the bodies and injured to the district hospital in the city.District Police officer Nadeem Abbas Bukhari and SPMC  Capt. Sajjad Gujjar rushed to the spot and supervised the rescue operation.
Local reports quoting rescue sources said that at least four children and two women are among the deceased.Those died were identified as  Aneel Sardar(13),Mazhar Sardar (22),Saqib (20)M.Shafiq (40) Shiraz (14)Samar (10) umme- Habiba (1)Mumtaz (8). Five injured were hospitalised where their condition in state to be serious. They are Ghafooran bibi (70)Muhammad Anwar (60) Zahida Bibi (45)Hasnanin (13)
The death toll might further rise as all of the wounded persons are in critical condition, the reports said.
Local residents told media that three families were living in the old building that suffered several cracks in its structure after the neighboring shops were demolished for fresh construction.
