Another protest demo for Shia missing persons in Multan held under the aegis of Joint Action Committee and led by Atif Hussain and Dr.Abbas.Scores of children carrying placards were shouting slogans for the release of their dear ones.They said that Yafis Naveed Hashmi,Ex-Vice President of High Court Association Multan was kidnapped from blue area of Islamabad whe he was engaged in shopping alongwith his family.Furthermore, Children raised slogans demanding end to enforced disappearance.Moreover, they further said that Government of Pakistan needs to end enforced disappearance in the country. Otherwise, India would ridicule Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir for the same reason, protesters pointed.Moreover, they cited enforced disappearance of notables such Yafis Naved Hashmi advocate and scholar Zaheeruddin Babar. Protesters also urged the authorities concerned must follow law in these cases.Particularly, they demanded granting undeclared detainees right to legal defence. Protesters urged army chief to play role in ensuring that security agencies must abide by law. Shia community held many protest demonstrations against enforced disappearance. President of LHC bar association Multan Malik Haider Usman also demanded for Yafis Hashmi's immediate release.
