People's Acountabiluty cell (PAC) Chairman Ghazi Ahmed Hassan Khokhar has drawn the attention of highest authorities at a press conference at Multan Press club. Malik Muhammad Siddique(President)Rana Abdul Waheed (Vice Chairman, Hassan Tariq Mehmood Malik Secretary General, Haji Khalil Raan (SVP)Tariq Khan, Shahid Raza Siddiqui, Tariq Khan, Muhammad Naeem Rajput, Fauizan Ali Qureshi, Malik Mumtaz Ahmed Sahu, Saeed Ahmed Qureshi, Bul-Bahar Bhutta, Nadeem Ahmed Qureshi,Haji Ghulam Shabbi and Sultan Ahmed Qureshi also joined him.
They alleged that Land acquisition collectors (LAC) Ch.Tahir Mehmood,Rai Inayat Ali, Ch.Muhammad Waseem, Naib Tehsildars Younas Khan, Jehanzeb Khan, Girdawar,Muhammad Mehboob Ahmed, Surveyors Malik Muhammad Hayat, Sardar Ali, Patwaris, Muhammad MazharHayat,Muhamnmad Younas Chaudhry,Muhammad Suhaib Iqbal and a Lumberdar Ijaz Ahmed Khokhar paid Rs.3 billion to un-deserving people reportedly on 50:50 basis.
While real deserving people ran from pillar to post to attain their rightful compensation.They said that land acquisition cell is honey combed with many sided corruption but in these cases a dozen officers and officials embezzled the 95 percent amount through bogus compensation vouchers.
They got thumb impressions or signatures of "fake" owners of property against Rs.40,000 to 50,000 on the cheques and receipts of millions of rupees.District Account office Multan and bank staff were also involved in this scam.because crossed cheques were passed without any hesitation and proper verification of the person who drawn the amount.Those who got compensation in record were not the owners of any home or shop or land on roads.
They said that neither National Accountability Bureau (NAB) nor Anti Corruption or FIA took action against corruption mafia because they were being backed by influential people like Shah Mehmood Qureshi federal minister and Waseem Khan Badozai,MPA of PTI.
They said that both legislators are honest and dedicated but such people employ all tactics to exploit the situation. People's Accountability Cell(PAC) leaders vowed to launch a drive against corruption Mafia.
They said that Prime Minister Imran Khan asked the concerned authorities twice to submit an inquiry report into the embezzlement of billions of rupees but all in vain.
They alleged that embezzlement in land acquisition for old-Shujabad road, Nawabpur road, MDA chowk to Suraj Miani road, Northern bypass, Ghaus-e-Azam road was made.
They appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan to confiscate the unlawful property of these corrupt elements and award them exemplary punishment to purge the society of corruption
