13 passengers burnt to death as a bus collided with a van in Karak district

A collision between a passenger bus and a pickup truck on Indus Highway near Spin Ali Banda area of Karak district claimed the lives of 13 people and injured four, South Punjab News reported on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the Karak area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P). Following the accident, the injured were immediately rushed to the District Headquarter Hospital for treatment.
Officials present on the occasion revealed that the incident took place on the route between Peshawar to Dera. The collision led to the vehicle catching fire, thereby causing casualties.
Further investigations on the matter are underway.
In January, at least 26 people died and 16 others sustained burn injuries after a passenger bus collided with an oil tanker in Hub, Balochistan.
In August last year, at least 18 people were killed and 23 were severely injured when a passenger bus collided with an oil tanker on the Indus Highway.
