Four persons including two Tribal elders were gunned down in North Waziristan

two police constables were gunned down in Prowa tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district. Officials said that the constables, identified as Ghulam Abbas and Muhammad Bashir, were riding a motorcycle in an area in the jurisdiction of Prowa Police Station when unidentified assailants open fire on them.

Two tribal elders and two police constables were shot dead apparently in incidents of target killing in North Waziristan tribal district and Dera Ismail Khan on Tuesday.
The first act of target killing took place near Miramshah.
Family sources said that Malik Salam Khan and Malik Niaz Khan were going from Tappi Village to Miramshah when their vehicle came under fire.
Witnesses said that Malik Salam died on the spot while Malik Niaz was taken to the district headquarters hospital in Miramshah where he died during treatment.
The district administration registered a case and the investigation was under way. However, no arrest was made.
The family sources said the deceased had no enmity with anyone.
Meanwhile, two police constables were gunned down in Prowa tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district.
Officials said that the constables, identified as Ghulam Abbas and Muhammad Bashir, were riding a motorcycle in an area in the jurisdiction of Prowa Police Station when unidentified assailants open fire on them. They both received bullet injuries and died on the spot.
Police registered a case against unidentified people.
Funeral prayers for the two constables were offered at the police line.An official of the political administration said Malik Bakhtiar along with his sons was returning home to Zowai Saidgai village near Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan, after the local administration clamped curfew in the tribal region following the killing of a driver working with the Frontier Works Oragnisation (FWO).
Earlier, unknown people shot dead a driver and injured his assistant. The driver had brought his dumper and was working with the FWO on the Bannu-Ghulam Khan highway, which is being built by the Pakistan Army. The slain driver belonged to Mianwali in the Punjab and was identified as Akram, son of Gul Aslam.
The political administration immediately clamped a curfew on the Bannu-Miranshah Road and elsewhere in the tribal region after the incident and issued notices to local tribes under the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR).
