At least Seven die in Multan hotel cylinder blast

MULTAN: At least Seven people were killed, whereas 25 were injured when a gas cylinder exploded in a building of Al-Quresh Tikka house in Gulshan market area of Multan,repoprted South
It was further reported that glasses of nearby buildings were broken and cars parked there were damaged in the blast.Moreover, the roof of a building also collapsed as a result of the cylinder explosion.Rescue teams have reached the site and stated that some people are still inside the building.
The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Dr Hasan Askari has taken notice of the blast and directed the administration to provide best healthcare facilities to the injured.
In a message issued here, the chief minister expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the loss of precious human lives and extended his sympathies to the heirs of those who died in the explosion.He sought a report of the incident as well.Eyewitnesses told the South Punjab News it was a cylinder explosion which caused massive damage to life and property in the area.The roof of a nearby building also reportedly caved in, leaving people trapped under the rubble.The death toll is feared to go up as some of those wounded are in critical condition. Police and rescue teams were rushed to the area to help the injured.
