My mango tree helps childless couples conceive, says India activist

An Indian rightwing activist found himself in hot waters for claiming that mangoes from a tree he planted helped 150 childless couples conceive.
The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) on Wednesday asked Sambhaji Bhide to identify the childless couples who, according to him, miraculously conceived children after eating mangoes from his farm.
He was also asked to provide proof – by the civic body – of the fruit helping the couples bear male children, NDTV reported.
In Indian politics, politicians stay in limelight more for their weird and senseless statements instead of their work for development. From Tripura Chief Minister to Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and now Rahul Gandhi has also joined the league with his current statement ‘Coca-Cola was started by a person who sold shikanji’. In a fresh incident. A former RSS activist Sambhaji Bhide made a very controversial statement. He made a bizarre claim while addressing an event that “Mangoes are powerful and nutritious. Some women who ate mangoes in my garden have given birth to sons,”.
He added many people have redeemed the benefit till now.
And this is not the end, the head of Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan was once giving various references from the Ramayana and Mahabharata and criticised the present political and social system. Twitter users surprised by the statement took to social media to troll the politician. Some harshly criticised the leader for its senseless statements and another used sarcasm to make jokes on the Sambhaji Bhide.
“Haapus for a good boy. Lagda for a birth defect child. Alphonso for Christian child. Kesar for a girl child. Totapuri for a parrot instead of a child.”
