four women were electrocuted and six others received burn injuries in Bolan

At least four women were electrocuted and six others received burn injuries when an 11 KV transmission line cable snapped on a tractor-trolley in the Bhag area of Bolan district on Monday.

According to the Levies force, the women were on returning home on a tractor-trolley after harvesting wheat crop in the Rabi Canal area of Naseerabad when an electricity cable fell on them.
“A power transmission line snapped and fell on the tractor-trolley due to strong winds blowing in the area,” said A senior Levies official.
He said that four women sitting in the trolley were electrocuted on the spot while six others received burn injuries.
The victims were identified as Dur Bibi, Ruqaiya Bibi, Rabia Bibi and Shah Bibi, while the identities of the injured could not be ascertained immediately.
The Levies force reached the site and shifted the bodies and the injured to a nearby hospital.
After receiving initial medical aid, the injured were referred to the Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) in Quetta for further treatment.
The charred bodies have been handed over to the heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities. The Levies force has registered a case.
