The fire engulfed the whole building in Barkat Market minutes after it started in the bakery. Fire Brigade officials entered the bakery after breaking its doors and doused the fire.Rescue officials said the five people died of suffocation after smoke filled the shop.
Short-circuit was being cited as the reason behind the fire but police haven’t confirmed it.The bodies have been shifted to Jinnah Hospital and the fire has been brought under control with the efforts of the fire department and rescue sources, however, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. According to unconfirmed reports, the cause of the blaze was short-circuiting.
