Chairlift goes in reverse direction, throws eight people out

Eight people were left injured after a chair lift malfunction at Georgian ski resort in Russia occurred due to electricity outage.
Videos of the incident revealed the chairlift hurtling backwards at high speed toward the bottom of the Greater Caucasus mountain range on which the resort is located. People are either seen jumping out of their seats or being thrown out from force.
The terrible incident is being attributed to power outage by the Economy minister, Dimitry Kumsishvili.
While some skiers jumped off the chair lift while they can, others were thrown off by force as the chair lift plunged out of focus. One skier is seen trapped under the warped chairlifts accumulated at the corner of the cable.
Eight people, who were mostly tourists of Georgian, Russian, Ukrainian and Swedish nationalities were shifted to hospital without any life-threatening injuries.
