Hospitality-Police distributes breakfast to visually impaired protesters at sit-in in Lahore

Punjab Police distributed breakfast to visually impaired protesters today morning, who are holding a sit-in at Mall road since the past four days.
On Facebook, Lahore Police Official page has posted pictures where police personnel can be seen distributing food and drinks to the sit-in protesters .This move by the police was greatly appreciated on social media.  
The visually impaired protesters have demanded the authorities to fix a quota for government employment. They have vowed that the sit-in will continue till their demands have been accepted.
The protest from the past four days has annoyed the commuters who have to stand in long queues for hours due to severe traffic jam.
The Sit-in infront of Chief Minister House Punjab by visually impaired person on Wednesday entered its third day, with protesters still defiant to not end their protest unless their demands are met. 
The blind people have staged a sit-in in front of the Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s office, demanding an increase in quota of employment in public departments.
CCPO Lahore and deputy commissioner had tried to negotiate with he visually impaired people however, their efforts did not bear fruit.The protesters say they were promised employment by the chief minister Punjab four years ago but it is yet to be implemented. “Only we know how we are suffering in this situation,” they said.
Commuters and motorists are facing heavy traffic jam on major city roads due to protest of visually impaired persons for their demands on Mall Road, Lahore.
This is not the first time that the visually impaired persons had staged protest for their demands instead they staged a similar protest in October 2017.
On 11 October 2017, a large number of visually impaired people took to streets and staged a protest at Kalma Chowk on Metro Bus track for fulfilling their demands.
The protesters demanded implementation of quota reserved in jobs and other rights, The protesters took to Ferozpoor Road and gathered at Metro Bus track at Kalmah chowk in Garden town, resulting in suspension of the service .
