British High Commissioner to Pakistan visits crafts Bazar in Multan

MULTAN, Feb 11th: The British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Thomas Drew CMG and his spouse visited the Multan Craft Bazar (MCB)at old fort along with Secretary General of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry Khurram Javed Butt where Abdul Rehman Naqqash gave them briefing about the handicrafts, rich culture of Multan. Handicrafts from the South Punjab  captured their attention and interest .Blue Pottery,glass cut work, Camel-skin lamps and other decoration pieces, Hand embroidered shawls, bags, dresses and jewellery,  Khussa shoes, wooden and metallic carved items for home decoration were highly appreciated.Naqqash told the visiting guests that Multan Chamber played a key role in sending the skilled persons and artists abroad to acknowledge their capabilities. MCCI has ever helped them in introducing their products and innovations.Thomas drew exchanged views with the craftsmen and lauded their work .He also presented them gifts.The high commissioner and his spouse were highly impressed with Secretary General MCCI Khurram Javed Butt who devoted his energies and time for them and provided valuable informations about this region and people of the area.
