Australian High Commissioner appreciates the "Rohi-Craft"

MULTAN, Jan 23rd: Australian High Commissioner Margaret Adamson visited the Women entrepreneur unit "Rohi Craft"  in Multan and she appreciated the stitching ,sewing, embroidery and jewllery work by the women of South Punjab.She described the "Rohi Craft Centre"as one of the best projects for women which was developed by enterpreneur sub committee of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI)She said this Centre would help the artisans,skilled persons and weavers showcase their skills to the world, and facilitate a brighter future for them.She said that "Rohi Craft" is a haven for knitting, stitching, cross stitch, jewellery & dressmaking and stitching enthusiasts, offering all the very latest supplies, ideas and innovations in the hobby world. She has appreciated the Multan Chamber's efforts for encouraging women in various fields of activity.She exhorted the skilled and talented women to come forward and play their vigorous role in the national economic progress.
Syeda Sarwat Zahra Convener of Enterpreneurs sub committee apprised the high commissioner of the concrete steps being taken by MCCI for promoting women entrepreneurs and giving them their due status. She also briefed her achievements and future plan of women entrepreneurs.Ex-Vice President of MCCI Maj(Retd) Tariq Khan, Secretary General Khurram Javed Butt, President of Crafts association Syed Muhammad Ali Wasti, Hugh Boylan, Mateen Amin, Merrick Coral were accompanied by her.
