MCCI is playing key role in promoting healthy activities in the region- Asrar Awan

MULTAN :Multan Sultans President Asher Schon shared future plans of his team here at the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) . He said that under "Barhtey Chalo" a bus-tour, they had planned to visit 11 districts of South Punjab and 20 universities to introduce the concept of Sultans. The cities included Faisalabad, Jhang, Mianwali, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan,Lodhran, Vehari besides Multan.
He said that they would establish ten cricket nets in different cities for the promotion of young talent. Asher said that they would organize a grand function at the Bahauddin Zakariya University during the second week of January in this connection. A launching ceremony will be held at Multan Cricket Stadium in the first week of February in which Director Cricket Multan Sultans Wasim Akram and team players would participate. He said that they had selected a balanced team which had capacity to win the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He said that they would try their best to bring international cricket in Multan like other big cities of the country. Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Malik Asrar Ahmad Awan said that they had special attachment with the name of Multan Sultans because it had another identity of the city of saints. He said the MCCI was performing corporate social responsibility along with business activities. Later, the president Multan Sultans distributed prizes among the chambers executive members.With these high aims and efforts, we hope the team will add well to the Pakistani cricket overall. Here let me mention that the team was bought by schon group at a price of 5.2 Million $. Thus becoming the most expensive team in the Pakistan Super League.The next edition of Pakistan Super League will be in Feb 2018 in UAE with six teams. This time after the addition of Multan Sultans. In This season 8 matches are planned to be played in Pakistan as well.  The final of the previous edition was held in Lahore which was a huge success. Final of PSL 2018 will be held in Karachi as per latest reports.
Multan Sultans the sixth team is introduced to the famous Pakistan Super League. The team is all set to rock in the 2018 season. The team is owned by a popular Schon group. The group is leading property dealer in Pakistan and Dubai.Managing Director of Multan Sultan Khizar Schon,Begum Romana Tanvir Sheikh, Senior Vice President of MCCI, Maj(Retd) Ehsan Niazi , Muhammad Rafi Gurchani,Zain Baloch, Hammad Ilyas and Khurram Javed Butt, Secretary General of MCCI were also present there,They told that Pakistani All rounder and previous KK star Shoaib Malik is named as the captain of the sixth side of Pakistan Super League. Another news regarding the coaching panel which shows the level of the team is that Australian captain Michael Clark may coach the team in the 3rd edition of Pakistan Super League.
