MULTAN, Malik Asrar Ahmed Awan of associate class, Begum Romana Tanvir of corporate class and Khawaja Muhammad Farooq of associate class have been elected as President, Senior Vice President and Vice President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry for 2017-18. While nine member were elected for executive Committee.They are:Corporate class- Begum Romana Tanvir Sheikh,Muhammad Khan Sadozai, Khawaja Muhammad Hassan, Muhammad Shehzad Jamil,Bakhsh Elahi and Muhammad Abid .(Associate Claas) Malik Asrar Ahmed Awan, Mian Muhammad Alamgir Jamil Khan, Ijaz Ahmed, Khawaja Muhammad Farooq , Sheikh Muhammad Aasim Saeed, and Shoaib Furqan.While Syeda Sarwat Zahra was elected against the seat of women Entrepreneurs. Election Result was announced by the election Commissioner Shahid Nasim Khokhar. These office bearers will take over the charge of their offices obn September 28 in Annual General Meeting to be held under the chairmanship of out-going President of MCCI Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi. Mayor of Multan Municipal Corporation Ch.Naveed-ul-Haq hoped that the newly elected body of MCCI would continue to raise voice for the solution of the problems being faced by the business community. In his felicitation message to elected body he said that they would try their utmost to resolve the problems of exporters, manufacturers, importers. congratulated the new body of Multan Chamber.In his message He was optimistic that under the leadership of Malik Asrar Ahmed Awan, MCCI would become a stronger apex trade body of Southern Punjab to better serve business and economic interests.
Commissioner Multan Bilal Ahmed Butt said that the Multan chamber body will also explore new markets for the Pakistani merchandise to enhance the national exports.He also eulogized the services rendered by outgoing President Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi.
