The Motorway Police on Sunday seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition near Sheikhupura district of Punjab, officials said.
The police said the arms were recovered near Pindi Das area from a car but no arrest was made as the two men travelling in the vehicle managed to flee.
Around 100 rifles, Kalashnikovs and guns were recovered beside huge cache of cartridges, the police said, adding that the arms were recovered from hidden parts of the vehicle.
The police said the arms were being brought to Lahore from Islamabad and were supposed to be used in acts of terrorism.
