International Mushaira in Dallas joined by Indian Pakistan poets

The association to promote Urdu, Alnoor International, hosted an international Mushaira in Dallas where poets from different countries including India and Pakistan participated. 
Noor Amrohvi was the soul and spirit of the mushaira, which was hosted in Irving’s Jack E Singly Auditorium.
The event was presided by Pakistan’s famous poet and educationist Professor Pirzada Qasim. Renowned Indian poet Santosh Annand, Manzar Bhopali, Malikzada Javed, Noshi Gilani from Australia, and Khalid Irfan were among leading poets.
Khalid Irfan , like always,  won accolades with his satirical poetry. Indian poets Malikzada Javed and Manzar Bhopali presented the bitter realities of life through their beautiful poetry. 
Lyricist  Santosh Anand was given standing ovation by the audience as he presented  his poetry which has also been sung by famous Indian singers. Santosh Annad while talking to audience said that he uses common and simple words in his poetry, so that his listener can understand complete meaning.
Alnoor International presented an award to Islamic Society of North Texas President Azhar Aziz on his services for the local community.Famous Urdu poet from Pakistan Abbas Tabish and Manzar Bhopali from India toured Dallas, which ended in a Mushaira at Urdu Ghar President Dr. Amer Suleman’s residence. They started their trip with a Mushaira at the residence of Republican Party leader and Mayor of Paris Texas Dr, Arjumand Hashmi and Healthcare tycoon Dr. Hasan Hashmi’s residence. These mushairas were also participated by Dallas own poet Younus Ejaz, Iqbal Haider, Noor Amrohvi and others. Pakistan’s famous poet Abbas Tabish kept people amusing with his fresh and old poetry. Indian visiting poet Manzar Bhopali on the other hand received accolades from audience on his poetry and intellectual thoughts. The number of poetry sessions were also attended by prominent community members including Dr. Arjumand Hashmi, Dr. Hasan Hashmi, Rehan Qaiser, Dr. Javed Ajmal, Amin Tirmizi, Dr. Zaim Nawaz and Mrs. Salma Hashmi.
Earlier, a mushaira was hosted at Dr. Hasan and Salma Hashmi’s residence in Dallas. The event was attended by many prominent social and community leaders were in attendance. Participants fully enjoyed the event. It is to note that Dr. Hashmi and his wife Salma Hashmi has hosted many events at their home, which ranges from cultural to political to literary sessions. Attendees of the mushaira said that this evening is another memorable one for which they are thankful
