ACCA's awareness seminar on "strategic planning implications of CPEC" in Multan

MULTAN, May 31st: Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Pakistan has played a key role in producing highly skilled finance experts .After completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC) there would be big opportunities for skilled people in Information Technology, Finance and other expertise,said Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi President of  the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) while delivering his speech at an awareness seminar on "strategic planning implications of CPEC organised by  the  Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Pakistan. Roomi said that ACCA had strengthened the future of our youth and now they would be able to get the job of their choice in the world.Roomi stated, “On this occasion I would like to recognize ACCA’s contribution in developing the finance talent in Pakistan. We have already signed an MoU and agreed that the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (MCCI) and ACCA will support member-firms of MCCI by providing value added services. Finding competent accounting and finance workforce is not only a difficult task but requires a lot of care and caution keeping in mind professional ethics, values and judgment. ACCA will help MCCI members in attracting, developing and retaining the best finance talent.”Chief Commissioner of RTO Multan Salim Raza Asif offered ACCA to do work with FBR and  sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote highest professional, ethical and governance standards in the region. Both entities share strong interests in working together to advance the public interest and to support the accounting profession by building both capacity and capability of the profession. Head of ACCA Pakistan, Sajeed Aslam highlighted, “Through its members ACCA is playing an essential role in the future success of Pakistan’s finance profession, and indeed the economic future of Pakistan.”Muhammad Shahid Khan, Murtaza Abbas, Faisal Hassan Khan, Ijaz Tariq, Hassan Ashraf,and Tania Bukhari also spoke in the seminar.The Seminar was attended bythe representatives of  SECP, Ghulam Rasul & Co, ND group, State Bank, SMEDA,Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA)Commercial banks ,Textle, Agro-Chemicals and other sectors.
