2.2 million litre of Iranian HIgh Speed Diesel seized by District Task force


MULTAN. May 29th: Under the order of Deputy Commissioner Multan Nadir Chattha, the District Task force Multan headed by Kashif Dogar Secretary Regional Transport Authority on Monday made a successful raid on a ware house in a chemical factory in industrial Estate and seized more than 10,000 barrels of iranian high speed diesel worth Rs.132 million. It is officially stated here today. Official spokesman told that first time district task force (DTF) comprising volunteers of Civil Defebnce foiled a bid to smuggle a huge quantity of  Iranian diesel concealed at Al Ata Chemicals factory owned by Sarfraz Rashid  in Industrial Estate. Though, the customs has almost controlled the smuggling of all items by roads, the smugglers have now shifted the means of transportation.“The DTS made a seizure of 22,00,000 liters of non-duty paid   high speed diesel full of high speed diesel worth of millions of rupees ”, the spokesman added.
“The staff of DTF has made seizure of 2.2 million liters Iranian diesel along with other goods .“While giving details of the seized items, spokesman said that so far some 10,000 barrels were seized and each barrel contains 220 litre.
