Nine people including four family members were killed on Sunday after a pick-up van fell into a ravine near Buner, Police reported.
According to officials, the unfortunate incident took place when the van was going to Jabo Chagarzai from the town of Sowari.
Many people reached the site of the incident to assist in the rescue effort. The injured were shifted to the nearby Daggar hospital.
At least seven people were said to have died on the spot, while two succumbed to their wounds while taken to the hospital.Police and rescue sources said that the Suwari-bound van was coming from Chagharza when it plunged into a ditch, killing nine people, including three of a family, and injuring several others.
The injured have been shifted to hospital.
