MULTAN, Dec 25th:The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has foiled an attempted attack on a Saint Dominic Church of Bahawalpur and arrested three terrorists. , said a statement released by the CTD.The statement added that Bahawalpur’s CTD team, acting on credible intelligence, reached at site,they hurled a hand grenade on them but fortunately,it could not be went off .Then CTD team arrested three terrorists affiliated with the banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LeJ).The arrested suspects were name as Imdadullah, Sajid Javed and Muhammad Kaleem in the CTD statement.Two Hand grenades and two kilograms of explosives were recovered from their possession. A case against them was registered at the CTD police station.Further investigation is underway, added the statement. Security of churches and other worship places was tightened in Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan.
